Welcome to the Leppert Lab

Research in Kidney Cancer and Urologic Conditions

Our research aims to improve the global quality of care for patients with Urologic conditions, with a particular focus on kidney cancer. We are evaluating the effects of kidney function loss after kidney cancer surgery, and strategies to predict incident chronic kidney disease after high-risk surgeries.

We are investigating novel therapeutic approaches to identify mechanistic biomarkers of kidney cancer and response to tehrapy using single cell proteomic assays and multiparametric imaging.

We are also applying epidemiology, bioinformatics, and health services methods to urologic conditions.

We are part of the Departments of Urology and Medicine in the School of Medicine at Stanford University and are members of the Stanford Cancer Institute, the Bio-X program, and the Stanford Kidney Cancer Research Program.
